Default Mk3 escort conversion to 4x4 cossie - advice and help needed

I'm planning on building a mk3 escort 4x4 cossie. Currently im at the stage where I'm gathering as much info on the conversion as possible before I dive I to it. I want to try and avoid problems other people have come across if possible. Hopefully I have an xr4x4 donor car and I have a rolling mk3 shell sitting in my garage.

Can anyone give advice on doing this and post any pictures. I've looked through various threads but non of them show pics of or go I to detail about the floor swap.

Thanks for any help.

Put a Subaru under it, cheap as chips now with plenty of tuning potential. No cosworth tax either

That's a good idea apart from,,,, well the Subaru handles the bollocks as it is so why spoil it in a cabrio ?
