hi i have just bought myself a

FORD ESCORT 1.3LTR MK6/7 3door

i bought it to do an engine conversion on but i carnt decide weather to put a
1.8GTI ENGINE IN OR A 2.0 RS2000.
but i also want to put a turbo on it aswell but wot engine wud be best or easyest to put a turbo on

so im basicly just trying to get sum advice on these things so if any1 can help i wud be very grateful .

2ltr silver top or blacktop bud rs2000 engine will cost u a small fortune to turbo!
If its the escort i think mk6/7 with efi cvh engine u could fit an efi rst engine

is that a 2.0ltr silver top or black top out of a escort also how hard are they to find and fit

2 different engines bud/ 2ltr silvertop from mondeo and 2ltr blacktop from focus and mondeo both good engines and both cost around same to turbo and both easy to fit! Depends what you want to do and how much you want to spend! Cheap route is st170 bottom end with standard forged internals with blacktop head using either frs inlet and injector rail/rover inlet and injecto rail and exhaust manifolds with frs turbo or use rst manifold with adaptor plate and T3 turbo

I did a 1800 Zetec turbo on my escort van and still kept the powers steering

thanks for all your help ill track down a 2ltr mon deo black top zetec n forge the internals put a turbo on it and hopefully put nos on it

Hope you have very deep pockets as a big Zetec Turbo build will cost loads. Not just the engine but the gearbox, clutch and chassis will all need significant attention.

No such thing as a Mk7 Escort, they ceased on the Mk6 where the Focus was introduced

I don't think you'll be doing any of this work you've mentioned..... Not with the 12 points you have at the very young age of 21!
