P0016 and p0017 fault codes

P0016 and p0017 fault codes
Got round to having a butchers at my Focus ST3 earlier and the first thing I did was pull the fault codes out of it.
The codes logged were:
P0016 crankshaft position - camshaft position correlation
P0017 crankshaft position - camshaft position correlation
It's all pointing to the cam timing being out but from the research I've done, it could also be a crank sensor issue.
Has anyone had dealings with these fault codes on an ST before?
