Default mk1 focus rs tuning 330+

hi folks currently debating on what new car to get myself in the summer. been looking at a few ST's but ive had two the last one was 330bhp so its a bit been there done that. Also considering a mk2 frs and a 335d.

i really love the look of the mk1 frs but it would need to be pushing 350 really seeing as my ST was 330. what mods do you need for this power? are they reliable? also how much would you budget for this?

The car would be my daily but i only live 5 miles from work so most of the mileage would be done on a weekend having fun.

Ta, Matt

fairly simple to get 350
loads of ways of doing it basics are
exhaust,decat,tubular manifold,map,hybrid.
sabre are doing live maps of the std ecu and can squeeze 350 with minimal mods on std turbo.then theres dpc who will get you 350 with there stg 4 map again on minimal mods.
go on rsoc mk1 rs section

cheers mate, and will do. So 350 is achievable on the standard turbo but anymore and your looking at a hybrid or bigger one?

Any idea what id pay to achieve 350 on std turbo? Any other costs like clutch or strengthning the engine?

std engine has been taken as far as 430 im sure.how long it lasts at that is anyones guess but 350 will last forever on std internals

contact sabre tuning, theyve done a lot of frs on std turbo to 350.
std clutch will be ok on that power if its in good nick.when it goes an ap organic will handle that power no bother.

cost wise prob looking at 1.5-3k dependant on used/new parts.

Ta for the advice mate, sounds about the same cost to get an ST up to 330. Just wish i could get a ride in one with that sort of power.

Should be pretty quick to be honest mate mine is standard form just now but like you wouldn't mine a bit more power. I'm looking at 280-300 I would be more than happy with that.
Just have to get mine running properly first.

Mine at about 280 is a great drive. Get it decated and change the manifold and it transforms the car!

More power for me later in the year when I swap out the bluefin for a live map

If your considering buying one then you will save a lot of money getting one already modded plenty for sale, have a look on the RSOC forum

P.s remember the st is approx 200kg heavier so the frs above 300 is a different animal to the st
