Default Has anyone AVO GTX coilovers?

I'm in need of new suspension for the escort cosworth. Just browsing eBay and found AVO GTX's for £915. I want black art designs ones but they are £1500 and I am struggling to stretch to that.

Has anyone got these?

Cheers

I'm with you there Max, I've got Avo on the Saff and tbh i don't like them at all, i guess Andy's going to Track the Escort which tbh Coil overs would be better I'm guessing?

Whereas the Saff mine that is, is just a road car and i much prefer Koni and Ahmed setup

I have konis and ahmeds. But the car needs coilovers really.

Konis are weak

Dave, he wanted £1500 iirc so no major difference over the price new.

Nobody listens to me about the weak konis lol

I burst two sets of rears on my saff with her squatting. Fitted billies in the end which were much better

That's most likely the reason yours don't squat hard mate coz your billies aren't weak and soft

Witch is better IMO

I don't know what to do really. I'm just looking into options. In an ideal world I'd have some BAD's so might just have to wait and save up for them. I've bent konis already and I think I've done the same again.

Some nice remote res jobbies need to go on your car I think

Just to think would someone like Harvey or mt Motorsport not have some good second hand Tarmac spec stuff that you could clean up nice

BADs are shite, they WILL leak quicker than Konis lol.

Have you considered Bilstein coilovers? Group N ones appear for sale quite frequently, although getting ones with the correct ratings may be harder. You can still buy the inserts etc new though.

I had them leak, rattle, knock like fuck. I wouldn't recommend them. My car felt all over the place with them to.
And I know of a few other people have said the same.

Andy, dont take this the wrong way, but you spend good money on your cars, how much has the latest turbo and manifold just cost you?

You always buy quality stuff, you have a very fast car, a superb car, so why are you looking at second rate shock absorbers? 'black art design' 'leda' 'ahmed'

Ring these tomorrow http://www.proflexuk.com/products.html

They are only in Cltheroe, they are great to deal with and you WILL not ever go back to 'std' types of shockers.

They will valve them for your use, and supply with the correct spring rates, not just something thats a kit that anyone can buy.

What about GAZ Golds Andy? Can be had for about £860. Would love to upgrade my Std GAZ to them.
Quite a few people rate them, Ronnie uses them and likes them as well.
