sierra sapphire rear lights wiring diagram
could anyone help me as i have a 1989 sierra 2000e it had a towbar fitted before i got it but the wires were just cut off causing an earth problem so only being a plumber not a mechanic i decided to cut all of the wiring out to the towbar as i didnt want it hanging in the boot now i have got nearly no back lights and need a wiring diagram/photo to put this back right.

got no replies but all sorted now first thing anyone should do is clean all connections with emery paper and replace all bulbs as the get corroded too the rear lights are self eathed so dont even go down that route til you have done the bulbs and clusters first.
mine is now perfect all lights work spot on.

May you know the reason but the prob is, if the power of one bulb goes back through the pathetic genuine 0.75/1,0mm² earth cable it will be OK but while driving you have mostly more than one bulb at work at the same time, so the connection heated and will melt some day (cause of high transfer resistance). If the car is new it is all great but after some years you have the dilemma.
You will find this problem at all marques like Mercedes, Beamer etc. (sometimes much more worse).
If you want a durable solution you should buy new connectors and cable shoes (FINIS 6066542) or speak to bespokelooms, he helped me already out, big thanks again.
In addition you should install a seperate 2.5mm² earth cable from bulb holder to shell and you will have nice bright and "disco free" light forever.
