Hi guys like my brother said (ESCOS2483) we got to know Dave very well when he lived here in Alcatraz Guernsey, but he found it too expensive to live here so moved back to Swindon about 5 years ago, I kept in contact with Dave and even went over to see him a few times and strip various RS's for him to sell parts, like my brother said Dave has bought over the years a vast amount of Ford parts putting them away knowing that in a few years time he could make good money on them, when I say vast amounts of parts I mean clearing complete garages of all items brand new from here and in Germany.

The way Dave works is he puts one item up for sale when that item has sold because he has a vast stock of the same parts he normally second offers people who have bid on the item, thats why so many of you get "second chance offers", now I haven't spoken or seen anything of Dave for roughly 3 years now and know the last time I visited him he was moving AGAIN!

In the time I knew Dave I watched how he worked his auctions on eBay and not once did he ever bid up his own items and was amazed at how much people bid on his items, ie one time I saw a brand new blue Escort Cosworth rocker cover, that he had brought 10 of, all in Ford boxes brand new, go for nearly Ł900, believe me there is always somebody out there that bids on the item you want, hence the stupid prices.

Dave was a good friend of mine and find it hard to believe that he has pocketed your money and not sent out these parts without good reason, ie maybe ill or away on holiday??

I hope this answers some of your questions and Dave gets in contact about whats happened.

Well just found this thread via RSOC as i had just started a thread on there.

Take it im not the only one then, I won 3 items, Ł122., paid on the 28th march, numerous emails etc and just opened a case today.
Would really just like the bits i won as really need them for my RST resto.

Surely there must be some reason behind this. Deano above sounds like he knows the guy better than anyone else on here and everything he says sounds like the fella is a decent bloke. I'm not saying that he hasn't tried to rip people off but there must be a reason such as huge debts to pay off????

I bought a few items including one on a second chance offer totalling over Ł500. I sent various messages throughout the auction and always had prompt replies but after paying have head nothing. All my responses were from Geoff not David, so could the company have been sold?

So risky buying anything these days it seems,I always try to pick the items up if possible but that's not always practical or possible even.

A steering wheel went for over Ł700!!! Poor ba#tards!!
Cosworth parts seem to be doing more than most supercar parts!! No joke!! A New M5 steering wheel with optional M button is Ł648 from BMW!!!!!! And a Ferrari gear steering wheel off a 360 with 2.000 miles sold for Ł720!!!!!! Parts are a joke to find, then paying for them is worse!!!

One of the buyers affected should call the police in Swindon, and call Paypal on their helpline and talk to them about this. If it is a Ł20k fraud then the police should take action.

If, and at the moment it is still if he has conned all these people they should all contact Swindon police not just one of them. A complaint from multiple people will carry more weight than just a single complaint and it will also show the scale of the con.
