I won 10 items outright and bought another 2 items on a second chance offer all of which cost over £500 and I haven't recieved anything yet. I was about to send a messgae through ebay but after reading this thread there doesn't seem much point.

The items I won were all listed as upto 3 working days dispatch then 6 to 8 working days delivery and since the bidding ended on a bank hoiliday weekend he's got untill Tuesday next week technically to make good.

All paypal payments should be secure for any type of refund as I've had to deal with that before but I'd still rather have the parts I won

dave used to be in the rs scene , many years ago , having owned a 4 by 4 saph . he sold this car years ago and started selling parts on ebay . he is a qualifed ceramic tiler by trade , but he made a living dealing on ebay . he has many user names , and banned from our local ford dealer when on the island , for buying out fords stock . they refused to deal with him in the end , and like i say , left the island many years ago .

He has to of cleaned out his paypal accounts whats the point in taking money, having it refunded and losing his reputation it doesnt make sense. This is why I dont use paypal its too easily manipulated.

I'm glad that I got out bid on everything I was after now.
Just done a quick add up on the rs6600 user name, and on that one day On parts including postage he sold he made just short of £10k not bad for one nights work.
Feel for you guys but I have no doubt that you will all get a full refund through PayPal.

Sounds like the same bloke, I had heard about this a while back - getting them to do searches on various parts and then selling them on.

A lot of people didn't realise the stuff was still available, maybe not the case now, but it's easier to go on eBay than go to your local ford place.

I hope you all get your money back.

So so weird. How can someone who spent years being a really decent seller of quality parts suddenly change overnight and do this to fellow enthusiasts.

There has to be a back story to all this, I feel so sorry for all those that have been scammed. I have been buying cosworth parts from ebay for years and luckily only got conned once for under £100, and that was buying bits outside of ebay from a guy I had won other parts from on there, he actually delivered those and then offered other bits I needed, which never arrived.

Really hope paypal dont try to weedle they way out of paying refunds to all those affected.

I had an idea that was very suspect when i first bid on a part he had for sale.

Items getting bid up immediately with days to go, private bidders, cheap postage. I had an escort cosworth radio for sale that sold for £12.50 yet the one under mine that he had for sale goes for £78.00!!!!

So many very nice rare parts in such a short space of time coming up, all of a sudden!!!!

I just hope this fella is found for the sake of all the above people who have spent alot of their hard earned cash.....Its a shame, but this is how things are going now with tinternet etc!!

Look where his business is registered a PO Box in Guernsey PO box are pretty much untraceable its just like a virtual office. Hes probably pulled a quick 10k out you never know it could of all been coming to an end and theres nothing tieing him to anything.

If the guys a rip off merchant and has a few brain cells then he will be long gone.

As said this is looking like at least 20k in stuff perhaps a lot more on other accounts and second chance stuff.


He could well be hacked but it would take an intelligent thief to do his research enough to look at his past sellings and chose such similar items to relist and sell for fraud purposes.

Most thieves are fucking thick so unlikely, but you never know these days.

There was a ebay seller who did audipartz and his went to minus from what I know, he just opened up another account and thats still minus years later.
