Anybody been to Vegas
My mates asked me to go to Vegas with him later in the year.
America has no appeal to me whatsoever, and i aint into gambling so is there stuff to do in Vegas or will i be wasting my cash.
From what he has said its 3 or 4 days in Vegas then a drive over to LA for another 3 or 4 days.
Any comments would be grateful

Definately good fun over there mate, if you are going to LA make sure you get to Universal studios as well, that's a good day. As well as being good fun, you can learn a lot about how films are made 
I wanted to see blue man group and the grand canyon in Vegas, but never got round to it
Where are you on about staying? Luxor was neat
There are plenty of shows and stuff, but it's worth going just to see it all lit up at night.
There is loads of info on the web - what sort of stuff are you into?

Some museums, history, nature, big buildings (becoming an old man) Beer, strippers, beer, strippers 
I know theres a scrapyard for planes just outside Vegas so wouldnt mind a nosey there, plus ive heard theres a place near there where the AAF send their decommisioned planes n choppers.

Tourist attractions in our area include West Rim Grand Canyon, North Rim Grand Canyon, South Rim Grand Canyon, Colorado River, Lake Mead, Hoover Dam, Valley of Fire, Red Rock Canyon, ghost towns, silver mines and gold mines, cowboys and working ranches, horseback riding and trail rides, Mojave Desert and desert wildlife, the Indian Reservations and pristine Native American land, the scenic Southwest including Monument Valley and Bryce Canyon, and, of course, the night lights of the infamous Las Vegas Strip.

I went to the CES (consumer electronic show) in Vegas and thought I would hate the place but its BRILLIANT! Tacky in a way only the Yanks can manage but kind of appealing at the same time. I am not a gambler but still really enjoyed myself and have been back a couple of times since. I highly recmmend Ballys on the strip as it was the only place that serves Newcastle Brown!

Deffo go - you won't regret it. It's one of the maddest places on the planet, and despite their piss-poor reputation, Americans are some of the friendliest people you'll meet.

I went there for my Stag do last November. Fooking hell it was unbelievable, plus no trouble, free-flow drinks etc...
Amazing.
I'm a Vegas junkie, have been every year pretty much since '94.
Stayed in loads of different strip hotels.
Oh, and if you watch "Las Vegas" on Sky I have to add that the hotel on the show - the "Montecito" is totally CGI'd so don't ask the locals where it is!!
Seriously go. Best time of my life.
Club to do is - "Body English" at the Hard Rock. Ask for Steve the barman. Tell him Kieron and the English lads sent you. This guy got us so hammered on our first night - he was pouring free flow vodka (triples every round), then we met up with him at Studio 54 - straight into the VIP room with him. Serious women everywhere!!

once you go to vegas you just wan to go back
when you meet other people who have been you both get that look in your eye. totaly superb and sooo much to see and do. no time to gamble. if you don't bet you'll find it very good value for what your getting!
a mate moved out there 5 years ago. (CSA were after him
) he never looked back!

I guess I am in the minority 
Been to Vegas 3 times. First time was brilliant - lots of fun. However, I have found the Sin in Sin city has tamed down though over the last 8 years
If I could easily afford it - then definately go. First time their is a real experience. If I was stretching myself money wise then - no , I wouldnt go.
Blue man group was fun, and Cirque de soleil was excellent!! Never made it into te desert
I found the catalogues of ladies on street corners very novel You just pick the age, the shape, and the look and bobs your uncle
One of the cabbies was advertising the Chicken ranch - the menu made a good talking point for months afterwards! I quite liked the one where she used crem de menthe to cool the parts other dont reach... errm... at least thats what I read

Tell you what once you go to california and nevada you wont want to come back. If you cant have a good time in vegas then you must be dead. I will never ever go back to another resort holiday like tenerife, ibiza etc..
I stayed in the hilton hotel over there for Ł250 for 10days included valet parking charges to. Went to a strip club was $5 in and $10 a dance or you could watch the girls on the pole for free. My mate spent $200 at one girl. she was pure fit, like something you would see in the movies.
I cant wait to move out there for good.

www.opodo.co.uk for flights. I flew with us airways from gatwick cost about Ł300 but that was booking on the saturday leaving the following monday. They where ok, we had a stop over at charlotte, was about 8 hours to charlotte then about 4 hours from there to lax airport. Im off to florida this year but las vegas and la for me the year after that.

make sure you go on all the rides at the top of the STRATOSPHERE tho as thaty are the scariest shit ever
