That 355 really is a fantastically well composed car, i cant think of any vehicle ive been in that feels so perfectly balanced even from the passenger seat doug, there just wasnt one aspect of its performance that you could criticise.

CraigN was PROPER sideways on that (privately owned, off road, away from the public) little roundabout, i think that is possibly the furthest ive ever seen anyone get the arse of a car to step out without it carrying on round all the way.

Its an interesting comparison between the two cars really.

The escort is actaully quicker, and probably gets round corners nearly as quickly, but the ferrari somehow just does it all so much more effortlessly, and the abesense of any lag obviously has a massive bearing on how it drives, but on the other hand, athough there is no lag on the 355 you do have to ring the neck off of it to get anywhere quickly, so neither of them are without compromise.

Extremely kind of Doug to take some of us in it, its not a cheap vehicle to run, especially when driven hard (on a private section of road away from the highway of course!)

If you have a car that doesnt like going fast then you either fix it or replace it, likewise if you have one that doesnt engage reverse gear without complaint.

I dont see why a mrs should be any different

well yeah i did try to race him, and i was in high boost put i didnt drop it a gear put me foot down in 5th gear at 60mph dont do alot, so i put in 4th but by then doug was gone

ultimately your car will probably win eventually, as i cant see Doug doing a turbo conversion or anything like that, its the sort of car you just leave alone, where as 400bhp+ is a certainty on yours soon i should think
