Cossie 4x4 Question?
Right I'm having a bit of a mental block......
My dads got a 4x4 2.0i DOHC Sierra Estate and we're looking to convert it to cossie this year. Apart from engine, turbo, ecu, loom, front brakes, exhaust etc, what else is needed? Being the 2.0i 4x4 it's already got the 3.9 diffs.
Anything we've missed???

Sorry mate but that is wrong! I have had 3 DOHC 2.0 4x4 Sierras in for breaking over the last couple of years and all of the starters were on the same side as a Cosworth 4x4 box and all of those boxes bolted straight into the Cosworths we fitted them to.
Edited to say I think I read that wrong and you were agreeing with me?

Apparently the 3.9 front diff is very weak, so you may be better using cosworth 3.6s?

You can't mix them, it wrecks the gearbox if you do.

Best bet is to get a full 4x4 and put everything from the cossie in to the estate
There must be plenty of cossies to break
