Default Ram Air intercooler?

I've had an RS500 style intercooler on my saph for a while now on stage 1 power with no issues, the car will soon be around 380bhp and that's when I decided to check what make the intercooler was because I've never checked since I put it on lol. I've checked and it's a Ram Air cooler which apparently came off a rally car! I've done loads of searches on here and google and nothing has come up for this type of cooler. Can anyone shed some light on these for me, and are they up to the job of keeping the temps down at that sort of power? Thanks.

as your engine has a temperature sensor for the intake air, just check what that reads and it will tell you if the intercooler is working well or not

I'll just leave it to Karl Norris to check that during mapping because I'll be driving it down with no boost etc. really what I was asking was has anyone heard of these coolers because google etc isn't bringing up much about them. Normally it brings you straight here.

This is true!

In all honesty its sounds like you're going for a stage 3 type setup with a live map and pretty much any RS500 style cooler is adequate for this.
