Default Medway RS Centre. Anyone had any experience with them? Any good?

So the Cossie comes out of hibernation in a months time and I'm looking for someone to tart the old girl up for summer. Medway Rs Centre is fairly local and was wondering if any of you had used them and whether anyone could recommend them?

Bonnet and bumper need blowing over and both rear arches are rusted in the usual Sapphire trouble spot so want these sorting as well. Roof starting to bubble round the sunroof so wouldn't mind having this done as well depending on expense.

Was it yourself who had this sort of experience with them or someone you know. How long did they actually take and what was the scope of the work that was done?

I know where your coming from with that comment. I normally get everything mechanical on the Cossie sorted by Grove Garage. You can't argue with Mark and Ahmeds experience but my fucking God do they take an age to sort anything! Think that comes with how good they are. If you want the best then you have to be prepared to be patient. Their in no rush as they know they've got the business. Bit like fucking Plumbers! Haha

What sort of shit are you talking??? Your car did not take 3 years! The only job's done outside of us were the jig work because you bent the car in half! and I used a mates oven to spray the car, is that a bad thing?

I have nothing to hide, I work alone so things do take longer, but i always add the personal touch to what ever I am doing.

I thought you were a better man than to slag me off to be honest mate, you know I do good work and I treat all cars with the upmost respect.

6 years I have specialised in the RS brand, and NEVER had a complaint, but I also understand you can't please everyone all the time, I also know what people can be like behind a keyboard and it is sad that someone would go out to try and attack a mans living with no real reason to.

Come on Tom low blow really

There a few people complaining about how long mark is making them wait to get their car in there

But when I went there the other week he is having is whole building refurbished and is flat out, so it's not hard to see why, he's always seemed genuine when I've seen him or when people need help, and I've followed a few build threads he's done and his metal work and panel making is amazing

In my opinion he's well worth the wait for bodywork because its a dieing trade and it's so hard to find a decent painter these days and for them they command a lot of money

And mark seems well priced

An Apology to Marc @ Medway RS Centre and anyone else affected:

A few months ago I wrote some stuff on PF that I know wasn't 100% true. I had some stuff going on and it was a vent when a posted coincidentally cropped up about Medway RS Centre. This isn't an excuse, it was nothing to do with Marc and I should of known better. I know it doesn't mean much from behind a keyboard but I'm sorry for what I wrote.

Had completely forgotten about said thread until someone posted on it today and it popped up in new posts. I felt very idiotic and ashamed when I re-read everything.

There's no excuse, I've removed the posts and sent a private apology to Marc. I'll admit I wasn't particularly happy with my experience with my cars repair, but given the state Marc received it in, complications with insurance payouts etc and the amount of extra work I asked for, with hindsight it's not surprising deadlines slipped, due mostly to parts suppliers/specialist 3rd party services etc and costs increased largely due to the same reasons. After a few years of calming down I've finally realised what a sound job he did and that a good friendship had built up, and I rubbished it all.

As I say, it's gone now, hopefully it didn't lose Marc any work, and didn't cause anyone any great worry over the safety/quality of their cars.

Sorry again,

Tom

I don't do wheels anymore mate although I will be doing the hydro dipping soon, so will have to start doing them again to an extent, but I can charge the right price for this, when I was doing wheels people moaned at Ł50 a wheel saying for Ł60 they can get a proper powder coat finish which is a fair comment, but I don't have the machinery they have to be able to turn them around as quick so labour is a big one in wheels, so to stop the moaning or doing them for Ł30 a wheel I don't get involved.

But I hate saying no what wheels are they, what do you want doing to them and whats the condition like?

If I can help I will
