Default Mk2 Galaxy TDi owners? or problems?

Thinking of getting a Mk2 Galaxy Tdi, but does anyone know of any bad common problems with them?

Ie DMF, Gearbox problems, Turbo problems? Cambelt problems? Injector problems? anything else thats costly if it goes?

I take it being a VW engine it should be better then a ford engine?

Cheers

I have a mk 2 galaxy tdi, also had a sharan tdi the sharan blow the turbo, but the galaxy is excellent good on fuel quite quick for a big car mine is the pd 115 bhp engine, the speedos have a habit of packing up which mine has done cant think of any other negs about it just make sure you have one that has been looked after and serviced with the correct oil,the oil feed pipe to the turbo is thin and using any oil blocks it and blows the turbo

I've got an Alhambra, basically same as Galaxy, driveshaft splines wear, had one go on mine a couple months ago, £400 to sort. I had another problem where it was losing coolant, went through everything only to find it was a mishapen seal, other than that and the clutch in one of the pulleys seizing (squealed like f*ck when turning at low speed) its been fine.
