Xr2i lower s/brace question

Xr2i lower s/brace question
Hey all
Quick question for you lot in the know regarding the lower s/brace fitted to the xr2i, does it bolt up to just the front sub frames or are there captive nuts welded into the chassis as well?
Reason I ask is I am sorting components out ready for an over haul/ upgrade to my brakes and suspension useing parts from my 1.8 xr2 donor car and don't really want to strip the parts and paint them only to find I need to we'd in some nuts as well as I have no acsess to a welder, the car I'm building up is a 95 1.1 base model
