Combustion leak test
im nearly 100% sure i have a blown head-gasket on my Shitroen 2.2 HDI , whats the cost of a Combustion leak test ? just looking on Flea bay and can get a Sealey one for just £57 and free post

I would think you could get this done for about an hours labor at any garage with the kit! so if you know how to do it that sounds like a good idea!

a combustion leak tester will tell you if the combustion gasses are mixing with the coolant
a cylinder leak tester will give you an indication of where there are escaping alltho ive found they only work when there is low compression in the first place

yes yr correct mate, ive got coolant going down the pots but it seems gas is being pushed up to the expansion tank and leaking out of there, even after days of not using the car there is still alot of pressure in the expansion tank
