Just chatting with my Dad, he bought up the topic of his old XR4i. This motor was his pride and joy and dream come true when he bought one (1988 ish). He owned it just for 6 weeks and then some bastard stole it.

Its was found and recovered. Insurance paid out and must of been sold on as a cat c or d. Look at that link and it's been taxed up until 97 some 10 years later. So I think your theory is wrong bud.

About 10 years ago they were 2 a penny, and not worth holding onto.
