Default BMW E46 320d experts on here?

The turbo went on my 320d back in july. i got my old turbo reconditioned along with the injectors, ever since its been very hard to run, an the MPG guage in the dash goes of it head when rev'd over 2k? boost doesnt seam to come into around 3k? an when you rev it hard on boost it pumps out black smoke, i check boost pipes no leaks ect, i was told to block off the small pipe that goes into EGR an see if it stop smoking, it didnt smoke as bad but still didnt fix the problem, iv had it plug in an nothing came up. has anyone any idea what could be wrong with it?

Have you checked the swirl flaps in the inlet manifold? They break off all the time and kill motors. [happened to me] also boost pressure sensor ??

Also check the pipe from the MAF sensor to the turbo. They have a gasket in which can fail

Possible that you have the old 'loo-roll' type oil breather/separator that clogs up, that can also destroy the turbo/make it smokey. You can replace it pretty easy with the newer 'vortex' style breather from BMW themselves for about £25!

See here:

Also, EGR maybe sooted up inside? They get ridiculously clogged up.
