My dad is in the RFA and i have been up to Faslane to see him. They had some Tridents up there and a resident Hippy commune, living in coaches nearby, who came to protest about the Subs and stayed!!!

lol havent you seen the film red october

love subs there is german sub onland on the wirral
http://www.thisischeshire.co.uk/ches.../warships.html

German submarine U534 is also based there. It is the only German sub to be raised from the seabed after being sunk by the Allies. She was almost certainly the last U Boat to leave Germany and her sinking, on May 5 1945, marked the end of the Battle of the Atlantic

looks AWESOME even got back torpedo tubes

well worth a day out to look at it if your around that area

Well it is your lucky day then!

I've been on submarines for 17 years!!!

I'm betweeen jobs teaching sonar at the minute but I left an attack submarine recently, that was deployed to the middle east for 8 months, obviously i can't divulge what we were doing!

I join a new one in December!

And if you think i'm a complete bullshitter i have a varied photo album! (you can use phones and cameras when your there!! Because why would you want to give things away??)

Hence if you want pics they will be selective!!!
