i know these fuel boost valves are good if set up right , but if it wasnt would i lose power and response so should i replace with a spare inlet with fuel reg etc that i have for time being until i could get it setup correctly , thanks

Fuel boost valves (I'm going to assume you've been conned into getting an FSE POwer Boost Valve) are utter shite mate. Standard one is more than up to the job at hand, refit, setup and forget.

As above imo ,I tried one on a 2.0 efi.Rubbish !.Do a search on here and see what people say about them.You will end up chucking it in the bin

thanks , will it run better with standard if the one fitted hasnt been setup proper

If the old one was taken from that car quite probably. The car is still likely to need setting up by somebody that knows what they're doing
