how can i tell if my timings out on my xr3i efi , ie checking cam belts in right place etc . thanks

take the cam belt cover off and in one of the holes on the cam pulley there will be a little pointy bit, on the head itself behind the pulley there will be a dot line the point on the pulley up with this and this will be the cam at t.d.c now jack the car up an check the bottom end by looking for a line on the plastic cover which goes to a point, there are 3 lines you want the largest one to line up with a little mark that's on the lip of the aux pulley, im sure all my rabble will make sense to you
