As above, I have just bought a stack dash off the bay,

here is the description
Stack st8100 / 867 dash display. In Mint condition, for anyone who doesn't know what or who stack are then please visit there website for more info on these dash displays, for people who do kno, grab yaself a bargain!!

I have been told that some of these dash's can be locked, is there anyway of finding out if it is locked

surely ( as mine is) just a dash with wires to sensors?

why not put a 12v and earth in then add a temp sensor and see what happes , dont need a car for that

 

give it 12v and press button 1 ( i think)

and this is what will happed give peak recals

 

thats a cracking idea and thanks for the advice, only problem is that I have won the item on ebay but didnt know they could be locked.

I shall contact the seller now just for confirmation that it is unlocked.

yeah this is new to me, I think the ones which come in vauxhalls and lotus's are locked in with the ecu, I just wasnt sure which models so I thought it was a good idea just to make sure this wasnt one of them you see as it is a few quid
