paid via paypal as gift.. and wish i never had.

He gave me assurance (have the pm's and texts) that he would pay the full ammount back and he never did. He told me when he got his post office payment for which he insured a 100 item for 40.. why feck do that.

So when i see him post on here selling parts again, i'm gona give hell. He's got the paypal address & my address for the delivery, numerious text messages (when he wouldnt answer the phone) and pm's with details.. just a tospot scammer.

take note for other who buy stuff from him.

Pete,
that ok for you say, It's not your fecking money is it.
Being an Ex-Trader, im sure you've sold loads of parts (and not just to me).. lol
but it would be unfair of me to say "it's was your own fault" when you take someones word and expect parts to turn up or payment to arrive and it never does.

The only real mistake i made was to trust this tosser and expect the part to actually arrive that i paid for..

your right its not my money, hence why i popsted buying and selling guidelines to help others, follow the guidelines then both the buyer an seller cant go wrong.
if a seller dosnet cover the cost of there item sent its there problem but if the buyer dosent insist on insurenace and a tarcking number its also there fault,if you see what I mean

Banning users really does not help anyone, as it simply cuts off the only form of contact people have?

Why not:

1) Ban the user from the traders section to prevent them selling/buying.
2)Enforce a DO NOT BUY OR SELL WITH THIS MEMBER signature with a thread link, so other users have the information they need to make a decision if they want to deal with them.

hence why buyers "should" get the sellers contact details name address landline tel number.
I wouldnt buy a screw off anyone if didnt have there details.as to banning, its the only way to stop them using the forum, they have held money back on purpose knowing they have done wrong,so they dont deserve to use this site

banning is not the best option, not while the dispute is ongoing IMO

the mods could edit the persons user title, to "under investigation" or similar. then remove the users ability to edit it. that would be easier to do than the signature if i remember the way this version of vbullitin works.

Why not have a "Disputes Section" below the For sale sections where disgruntled buyers (and sellers) can air their grievances about a transaction.

This can then be used for each party to communicate and will let others decide if they want to buy or sell to an individual.

The problem with these things is there are always two sides to every story, and you very rarely hear both.

Creating a thread in the "Disputes" Section should only be considered after all other forms of communication have failed.

Just an idea.

In future do what I do.

If someone requests paypal "gift" to avoid fee's. Just add the fee's on top for them. Its only like 2.9% and that way your protected.
Also, offering to pay the fee's will also force most scammers to back out of the sale.

at the end of the day some people have the best intentions and don't deliver, some are just out to get as much coin for nothing.
method of payment and tracked delivery mean very little to these folks.
i have paid and been paid via paypal gift several times and not let anyone down or been let down.
trust is a dangerous thing, nothing is guaranteed sadly.

on another site and he was a member on here too once, i sent an ecu for checking, the misses didn't send it recorded and he claimed it didn't arrive, this was as i had found a fault but couldn't fix for a fellow forum member. so i sent it off to someone i had dealt with loads of times, i ended up paying for a replacement ecu out of my own pocket, but later discovered this bloke screwed over his relatives for cash and many others around the same time.
so i end with trust no one, if you do have good contact details or a way to get your money back then proceed at caution.

That is a great idea, only removed with proof of payment etc

Surely this can be done

Pete,
i've had a think about this and agree with others, can this be done?
thanks for your help with changing the sign & also thanks to others for thier comments.

1, Ban the user from the traders section to prevent them selling/buying.?
2, Enforce a DO NOT BUY OR SELL WITH THIS MEMBER signature with a thread link?
3, Change the users ID to reflect this user should not be trusted.?

thx,
Manoj
