The poor bloke has just spent a fair bit of his hard earned cash on his dream car and because its turned out bad a few of you feel the need to have a pop at him... nice one lads thats the PF spirit!!

Lets all keep telling him he should of checked it more thoroughly or that he should of noticed the things wrong with it, that will really help matters and make him feel better.

My S1 goes in for MOT tomorrow and if it fails shall i post the failures on here so as you can have a pop at me also, tell you what i shall even post a picture of it so as the real clever ones out there can doctor it and make a joke out of it?

markyd3, I think you're missing the point somewhat.
I for one congratulated him on his 'mint' purchase yesterday, then today he comes on saying it's a death trap and he wants to trace previous owners.........
Then he get's frustrated when people say he should've checked the car out BEFORE he bought it, not after.

Life's a learning curve.

thats right we all need to keep telling him dont we, you'd get frustrated if people kept telling you the obvious wouldnt you!! yes i think he probably realises that he should of got it checked first but he did what loads of us do, see a car we like and just go for it.
He's paid the price for not getting it properly checked over and now hes naturally upset and pissed off whats the problem with that?

FFS cant you just let it drop or do you just feel the need to rub his face in it some more!?

Jim, you're sounding like a cry baby now FFS!

Don't start telling people that DO know a hell of a lot that they don't for bloddy sake!

we trying to help you and you haven't done naff all about it, stop whinging and go do something!

If you're going to moan about how he should lift the car up etc etc, then you shouldn;t have bought it in the first place, there's buying guides all over the place

I've bought a car on impulse before and it cost me a fair few ŁŁŁ to put right, I still have that car now

Go sort it and be done with it

I am not a miserable git, but show some respect for peeps that give you sensible and TRUTHFUL opionions/advice

I gave him advice a few posts up which he ignored and instead started saying bla bla bla to sumbody. Sometme the answers you get are not the ones you want but they are the answer none the less.

Everybody makes mistakes, nobody is saying they dont. They are offering there views and experiences on this subject on a public forum.

James, Ive spoken to you before and i know you are alright, but look at the posts, most saying "you should have got it checked etc etc"

Yes very good advice in hindsight but does he need it said over and over again!!?

I dont usually get involved like this as i am now inviting people to take a pop at me but surely "bad luck m8" and more positive comments are in order here?

So you shouldn;t be starting this thread then, why have 2 when u have 1 already?
Sympathy?

Jim, people are offering advice, some very hekpful people too

For instance, whats does Tim know - um quote a bit, same with Lee, TonyK and many many others replied

You need to speak to CAB or such like or Trading Standards as you said on other post, don't start another one - it's not worth it is it?

We can't do anything to help, they CAN

good luck for you, but I think that YOU know there's not not hope for you, may get something back, not not alot

Maybe enough to repair - that's all you need,

Offered help on previous thread, to which it seems may not have been taken in (I too would not be thinking straight today if this happened to me)

2 posts is taking it too far, why needed??

I say good luck to him on this case, also I really feel that whoever sold him this car needs speaking too, not like they wouldnt know about it is there!!
