thats where this country is heading if we carry on with our pathetic risk aversion based society.
There is NO valid logical reason for us to have so restrictive pursuit policies. Its pandering to the weakness and paranoia of society.
If we had a government who worked properly they would tell the namby doo gooders "no, we are getting tough on the young criminals, they choose to run, they suffer the consequences".
Aggressive pursuits work fine as i said in many european countrys and other western countries and you dont here a massive outcry in those countries. The US is the obvious choice for taking it to the extreme.
The public there support the police and expect the police to be tough on crime. They accept that if anything bad happens due to a pursuit, then its the criminals fault for being dumb fuck enough to run from the police.
Not saying we need to implement the PIT manouver here (but secretly it would be awesome) but we certainly need that attitude towards criminal scum and that attitude to blaming the criminal for thier own actions.

I bet when they are finally caught, they will blame it on society and how things were stacked against them, they had no opportunities, bad influences and how they didnt have a choice about stealing cars 
then the cunts will get loads of free courses in prison and therapy and if they are lucky a free holiday. Then when out they will get preferential treatment by the job centre and some job scheme where some genuine folk dip out on a job because we give it to a criminal scum bag instead.
