Default Gopro wifi iPhone "real time" video stream, anyone here use it?

I assume thats it not a fault with my cameras or phone that sees it lagging by quite a few seconds and that is just their idea of "real time" but its normal for it to lag like that?

So if you have your 3 paired, and you wave in front of it, you see that on the phone straight away, like you would if viewing the phones own camera?

It's a shame it's not ultra fast but for like this guys says its ok as a feature.

The WiFi video link is very detailed and smooth believe it or not. But of course the catch with WiFi is that it introduces a 4 time delay lag. This is a shame but for setting up a shot it does the job! I think for the uses this camera has, you don’t need realtime monitoring any way. Just the ability to set that shot up and monitor it remotely with no cable is pretty cool for a free add-on. The app is free in the App Store and the firmware update is on Go Pro’s site here.

Got a mixture spikey and I dont think it makes any difference TBH, and nor would I expect it to given that no doubt the code is in parellel for sending to wifi and sending to the car, cant imagine it waits for the card write to finish before it sends it on wifi.

Shame there isnt a way to turn the resolution right down and make it quicker
I understand it cant be totally instant over wifi, but would be nice to get it quicker than it is for certain applications (reversing camera for example)

Agreed it would be nice to turn the resolution down a bit and make quicker but tbh I've only use it to show people or other than ill use it for setting up I can't see it being anything more than little feature/ gimmick .
