Default Battery problem!

Hi guys my battery on my sierra XR4i has started to go flat while driving!
I know this is the alternater not charging it but why?
One of my belts is wrong size as all others are tight and ones loose (lots of sqweeking) is this the cause of the problem?
I've also fitted a amp and sub to the stereo which has direct feed to the battery!
Last time I drive the car the amp wasn't working!
Then car died from flat batt,
Is this the amp draining the battery or the loose belt? Or both!
Any help would be gratefully received
Am changing all belts for new ones next few days any how!

You could do with making sure the alternator is charging by usinf a multi meter.

if the alternator belt is not tight then yes it will not be charging and also yes your amp uses the battery to run there for if your alternator is not charging the battery it will go dead!

Just use the remote from the head unit to turn amp on and off.
