I have faith in you Zak, you've been around the scene a long time, just make sure you start getting up to speed with more modern tuning, diesel mapping etc. keep Iain on side for advise, he has a great knowledge, just a shame he was sheltered and breast fed for 30 years..... Merv and Chris are always willing to help, as long as you want to help yourself.
I wish I knew who you were talking about at the start as I would probably laugh my tits off at that comment

Zak, no pressure matey but you've got a whole lot of people that want your services now and powers reputation rests on your shoulders :-P

See you in the new year to set up my car and many others. Defo get in on diesel tuning, my golf wants a kick up the arse!

Is the Merv mentioned the same Merv that had the red S2 that set top speed record about 20 years ago?
Does David Power still have any part of it these days?

It may have been the same Merv, normally had longish fair hair, looks more of a relaxed surfer type. Dave Power hasn't been involved there for about 10 years, he still owns Powerflex though, Dickie who started the company still part owns it.

I used the lads at the beginning of the year when they set my RS up,
Iain was one of the frendliest professional people i have dealt with...had my car on the rollers all day due to a few issues which included him removing my fuel pump and sorting the melted wiring out, i left with 80bhp more than i came with, and its been bang on since, and all they charged me was a standard rolling road set up charge
I even gave th a £20 drink as i was that happy, im abit gutted to hear hes left tbh as he was the only person i trusted with my car and i drove from Bristol to Uxbridge each time,

All the best for the future if you read this Iain.

With iain left I am taking over in the dyno as said above, Ive been playing with modified cars for years and this is the next obvious step to take. Hopefully everything I've learnt in my time there already watching Iain all the time and now mapping my own car will make this transition as smooth as possible and I can't wait to get stuck in in the new year.
get practising on omex m8 then you can map my escort m8

Yes this guy set up my car without a fan in front of the engine and was not in a good mood at all. A few months later mervin set it up. He complimented on how nice my car was to drive compared with his own red fiesta with escos rims. Cannot remember the year

It is with a heavy heart I write this post. Those that know me, know I don't like to get involved in company politics or internet bun fights, but the bitchy, fickle, deceitful nature of the interweb, and the tuning industry make it necessary. In The twelve years I was employed at powers, I always tried to treat customers as honestly and fairly as I could. I Would like to take this opportunity to thank all of my customers for trusting me with there pride and joy. you all have a choice, and it humbled me that you would make me your choice of tuner. To those of you who feel I did not do my best with your vehicle, I sincerely apologize.
Matt. I'm sorry you feel this way. however, I feel that your comments here are not a true reflection of what went on. Possibly they are based more on what you have been told I have said rather than cold hard fact. Also appreciate I was effectively being told what to do and when to do it by three different people, on three different agendas. I was never going to be able to keep everyone happy. In my opinion, the problems started at the top and went down the food chain, not the other way round. I feel that we were both put in an untenable position, and the very fact that we have both left is telling. I don't recall having bad mouthed you, and certainly would never wish your family any harm or suffering. I would of thought you of all people would understand that i am not that type of person, especially after the TOTD slagging match we went through together a few years ago. as you have not said anything to me regarding this matter since you left powers, maybe you could refrain from publicly slagging me off until you have had the courtesy to drop me a P.M, seems a better way to do it, especially after 15 + years of friendship?

Lastly, I'd like to point out that I did not go to the AA, but took up a position on a large contract looking after a large fleet of "specialist" vehicles.

P.S, Jay, I don't have a clue who you are, but obviously I have somehow pissed you off massively too. maybe you could also drop me a p.m.
