Air box is left hand side of engine as you look at it, it feeds from the scoop/dam at front

It never rubbed with 3 in back but I wanted it raised a few mill so just popped in a slight thicker spring pads. Standard spring pad is 5mn, BMW do 5mm, 10mm and 14.7mm, there only a £5 each

How can a 320D feel budget compared to a 330D when the trim levels are exactly the same?

I drive both on a regular basis, and there is actually very little between them, the 330d has more grunt, but the 320d is more economical. horses for courses.
Feel wise, they dont differ at all.

Anyone who wants to try mine feel free to pop in, it will piss all over a std 330D in every way.

The part numbers between 320 and 330 for shocks etc is also the same on most,
Some 320s run a slightly softer front damper i believe. But the Coupes like mine are pretty much all firm or M sport Models.

I actually find the 320D handles a little better with slightly less weight up front. The turn in is a little sharper and they feel a touch more nimble through the twisties.

Mines the M sport version, well worth picking one with this if you have a choice, although some parts are slightly more expensive if they need to be replaced like lower arms etc.
They are night and day over a std spec car which feels way to loose and wollow about too much for me. Thats the same between both 320 and 330 with the happy shopper suspension option.
