Default scrapping a car

currently have my Puma which i have been stripping of parts but I will need to be rid of it soon as its taking up drive space. I wondered what is the easiest way of getting rid of a car that wont drive. Im guessing I can call up a scrap company and get them to collect but i would have thought i would give up any scrap money in lieu of collection.

is this the best option? would i get any money? not particually fussed if not but obviously if i could that would be great!

metal is worth money so never give it away, most pikeys will cross your palm with cash let alone genuine metal merchants, it all boils down to weight

well by the time its ready to scrap it will just be the body, no engine, no interior other than the dash and no wheels. all axles and such will be attached. so whats the best thing to do get someone to collect or chop it all into bits and take it to a scrappy? can they be collected without wheels. sorry for the dim questions just not something i have ever had to do!

For a bare puma shell I reckon you would expect somewhere in the region of £50 scrap metal value. As said, the cost of having someone collect it could outweigh the cost of metal. Got an ebay account? Stick it on there, 99p start!

i had a mk6 escort that i stripped to a bare shell a few years ago, i would have got £20 for it back then, but as they had to collect it i got nothing lol.

they litterally dragged it out the garage with the hi-ab, lifted it onto the flat bed and didnt even bother to strap it down... he just crushed the roof in with the hi-ab and pinned it down lol

the bloke also looked alot like shaggy from scooby doo....

I had a Rover 800 collected by the scrapyard. Took the Recaro's out and took the turbo off. My brother and me kicked fuck out of it before it went. Was not one good panel left on her. Cost me £350. Ran it 3 months. Sold it minus front seats, turbo plus it said bodywork. £150. 5 yrs ago mind.

Edited to say the gearbox was banjaxed.
