Im currently on the hunt for a new ecu for my st170 engine, just a bit confused as to the differences between megasquirt ans jolt? also anyone ever used triggerwheels.com? seems very cheap as just found this

Dont really want to spend loads on an ecu as its just a na car so features like boost control, alc etc are not needed

Any help would be great, trying to budget around the 300quid amrk which I know seems to be a tall order

just to add, microsquirt is another make which im unfamiliar with but is very close to my price rage for the full zetec/duratec kit from trigger wheels

megajolt is ignition only, megasquirt is what you need

eta: Microsquirt seems to be a lower spec'ed megasquirt. Depending on the injectors you're using it may just have enough outputs to work

Thanks for that, what about microsquirt? ever had any experience with that as it states that is a 3d mappable ecu

Microsquirt is ok, but lacks a lot of things megasquirt has. I have mine up for sale, got loads of features, cop ready, launch control, fully tested by a megasquirt expert. Pretty much fit and go.
Bit further in cost than your budget, but ready to go though.

already had a look at yours an although it is very well prices and packed full of features I think its just a step too far for rfeddy and would prbably be wasted on me, at that price though someone is going to get themselves a bargain.

I could do with doing a comparison and have a chat to rick at unicorn to see which would be best for me, although one might be a lot less equiped, if its cheaper and has the features I require then happy days, but I think I better leave that decision to may mapper, just trying to learn as much for myself as poss.
