Default Fiesta MK5 Rally car

I'm looking into building a MK5 fiesta rally car, using some puma rally bits, and other parts off Fords. I've been thinking about modifying the wide arch kit for the puma s1600 to fit the fiesta, I just need to think of a way to space the wheels out. Is there any parts off the wider bigger fords, that could be modified to fit the little fiesta? lol. Cheers

puma wont be any good due to the fab work involved IMO

youd be best off with fiesta mk3 rally X kit modded to suit

, or aftermarket arch extensions like this

Running gear would stay the same, but with puma racing hub extensions, and offset wheels/hubcentric spacers!

Sean.

Ahh cheers for that! Yeah I had looked into both, just thought I may fabricate the s1600 arches. There was an frp arched MK5 that looked awesome, so that's why I wonder about the puma arches. Has anyone ever done a mk5 fiesta rally car. As after a few searches. There's been no results? Why people haven't done it before? Lol, because they're lighter than a puma, and IMO they look nicer haha.

How wide you need to go?

I stretched mine with and arch roller then banged ESP arches on top to cover the rough metal.

Could run 16x8 on it and it was lowered a good 60 mm

On 205 tires. Inner rear arches boxed out slightly under arch lip

205/45/16 with a 15 mm rear spacer lowered 60mmm

After paint with the arch covers on. 16x7 wheel, 205/45 tire with 15mm spacer all round. Lowered 40mm.

Didn't rub on any of those.

Cheers. I was planning to wide arch it, because they look awesome with the arches on IMO, and if done right will make the handling better. I was just wondering if any other parts off larger fords could be fabricated to fit, without making the wider bottom arms, shafts and track rod ends. If I need to make wider track rod ends, bottom arms and drive shafts I will, just thought it'd be easier to fabricate something lol. Same for the rear axle etc. too. Otherwise I'll just use axle spacers.

if you can find all the parts of racing puma will fit then you just need to fabricate the arches to suit

I think the puma s1600 arches were wider than an frp... Not sure? Also the parts may need to be uprated, as frp might not be strong enough. And frp is very expensive if anything needs to be replaced...

The fro rear beam is the same just with the spacers I had fitted to mine in the above picture. With low offset wheels,

The front had different hubs and front arms I believe. Think the shafts are the same though.

And wider isn't necessarily better. I'd just go with slightly widened track with low offset wheels ( the first picture I put up the wheels are et20).

I was planning on building the car a puma s1600 into a fiesta shell. The car will be doing both gravel and tarmac and I think proper wide arched cars look awesome. Lol. if I were put small wide arches on, I'd probably keep it standard. What shafts did an frp use then?

Also does anyone know where I can get gravel and tarmac suspension for a puma or a fiesta? Haven't been able to find anywhere...
