Default Best Turbo Air Filter

Can anyone recommend a good air filter for my turbo? Ive read that the oil impregnated cotton air filter can cause damage? Theres so many different types i dont know what one i need.

Any advice would be great.

Seems to be as open a topic as "which tyres would you choose". A lot of people use k+n and some ITG. You'll get plenty of choices. I've always used k+n

i doubt the oil can do any significant damage.
i've used k+n and itg, along with none branded cheap ones.
i used an ITG on my zetec turbo and caused no problems, even at 1.8BAR

The oil only causes an issue if you use too much of it. The residue then coats the air flow meter which causes problems.

On my second Pipercross, first one lasted 10 years. No problems at all. Oil only an issue if you have a MAF sensor I believe?
