Default Cam Buckets removed 7 but No 8 refuses to move

Hi all removed the head today from a tddi focus after a cambelt failure, found 1 evident bent valve being No1 exhaust but also markings on No4 piston showing valve contact but no apparent damage to valve. So anyway i removed all the buckets and shims before i lost them in the sequence they should be in but got to the last one on No 4 cyl (exhaust) and it don't want to move it will spin round and will lift up and down but it will not free it'self from the head i've even had the bucket held with mulgrips taking the weight of the head and a mallet beating the head to try and free it but to no avail next step is to compress the valve and cut the head off and see if i can free it from the cylinder side up unless anybody can suggest anything else ?

The valve train componants on that port must be bent such that they are touching the side of the bucket just enough to stop it being pulled out fully.
