I recently bought a 2002 MK1 focus. Silver.

Trying to get a colour match to spray a patch on the passenger door.

According to the VIN Plate, the colour code is 08 (zero eight). Searched everywhere on the net but unable to get a definitive answer on what colour that is. It also concerns me that on all the sites I've visited, they indicate that the second number represents the year but how can this be when my car is a 2002 reg but the code ends in 8?

Anyone help please - want to get spraying today but don't want to end up with the wrong shade of silver!

prob moondust silver if same colour as my old st170 as that was 2002 as well

Any idea why code ends in 8 when car is 02 reg though? Is bugging the hell out of me.

normally that relates to batching etc I would pay it no attention, pick up some moondust and lacquer then its happy days, sold the st170 last month to a chap from bristol who is about to track it
