Default squeaking belts

Hi,
people i know its a silly question, just thought id ask on here because its driving me mad,
when its wet/damp outside my alternator belt on my 2003 fiesta squeaks like mad,
is there any cans or penetrants i can buy to stop the squeaking,
any info appreciated

You can buy rubber lubricant in an aerosol but I think it's mainly for things like seals on windows etc.

spray a 'little' dashboard cleaner or something with a bit of silicone in it on the pulley and see if it takes the squeal away.....it will only last a few minutes.

DO NOT USE OIL (like WD40)

If it does I'd change your belt OR loosen the tension a bit, I'd say your belt are old and have gone brittle.

Chances are the belt is old and needs replacing. They're cheap and easy to do so I wouldn't bother faffing with talk or sprays that only last 5 min.

Used to be able to buy a spray to stop squeaks, but not seen any for years....
As above, chuck a new belt on it and give the pulleys a clean while its off.
