Hi i want to to fi twin 40 dcoe's to my mk2 escort (1700 x-flow) but the brake booster tower is in the way! I dont want to change the pedal box or remove the tower just yet i was wandering if something could be done to the tower to give me enough clearance for the carbs????

Unbolt the brake servo where it goes through the inner wing, and loosen the bulkhead bolts. The bracket that strengthens the inner wing will pivot 180 degrees on the bottom bolt , drill a new hole and re bolt it into position. This should lower it about 2 inches
