Default What pads do you run in your mk1 focus rs?

Im struggling a bit with the brakes on my mk1 rs, its around 365hp and has ebc discs and yellow stuff pads all round with braided hoses ect. I find the bite of them is poor and the fade quickly. Not sure if its the pads letting it down, or if im at the limit of the standard setup and a bbk of some sort is needed. Cheers

I've got the proper ford pads in mine, and they seemed alright on track, didn't seem to mind getting hot too much.

They do a 2 piece bell and rotor kit that uses the standard calliper. Not tried them myself but have heard very good things about them. Think they are about £700.

not on a frs, but i run ferrodo ds2500 pads and discs on my frs setup fitted to my xr2, no issues to report.
i'm running 1.8bar through a gt30 on a 2.1 forged cammed zetec turbo, so probably similar power, so the brakes are used hard when i can.

High fiction pads basically mate, destroy discs and make a mess of your wheels, but by fuck there good.

Used to have mintex 1144's in mine on EBC discs and it was superb, destroyed a set on one track day though.
Found the standard discs with green stuff pads were piss poor.

Still use 1144's on the Saff, can't fault them.

Exactly this... I used CL's on my clio sport track car and they're simply awesome.

Down sides

They don't do big miles, or sensible miles even.
The 'dust' will discolour your car and takes serious elbow grease to get off
Probably TOO strong for an ABS Road Car in the Wet
