anyone done this or know for sure as getting proper mixed reviews

to make a 4x4 saph cos a 2wd and retaining 4x4 sump to save lifting engine off cradle

the major question is ......if you remove front diff and cross shaft,will it spill engine oil or is this a seperate area and couple of rubber bungs sufice?

No it's separate mate, it's a sealed system so you won't lose any engine oil.

Have either of you done it?

Its just looking at an xr4x4 sump it seems if you remove front diff it will spill oil.is the 4x4 cos sump diffrent set up?apart from the obvious fitment

No it won't spill the oil, the only oil that will come out is possibly some diff oil. Done it plenty of times mate. Diff oil and engine oil are different remember, therefore they cannot mix or it would fuck everything up, easy way to remember.

Ha i realise the oils are diffrent mate.i was just a bit concerned that removing the diff would maybe leak engine oil some how

But now realise thats not the cas
