renualt kangoo van idling at 2000rpm??

mate of mine has a problem what would cause these diesel vans to rev at 2000rpm? he has tried changing the ecu and cleaning th egr valve!

Sounds like a vacuum leak so check all the pipes and try the throttle cable to make sure its not over tight.
