Default Electronics Experts - Help please!

Guys,

Im in need of some kind of relay that when triggered with a 12v supply will output a 12v on-off-on-off etc.. but I also want to be able to control the rate of the on-off-on-off output.

Does such a relay exist?

Could I use an indicator relay?

yeah, I'd like to be able to control the time between the output turning on and then off and then on again.

lol aint for a flamer kit, but its for something almost as cheesy!

I think a 555 timer chip might be too fast. I need it to power on and off around once a second.
