Hard one this for me. I think, if snatch hadnt come out, and it was lock stock vs Layer cake then, lock stock may win on originality. Layer Cake was the best film ive seen in last couple of years i wrekon.

good film agree with the above, for me the actors wernt strong enough and the plot the rip of in another country is a bit weak it just wouldnt happen, lovein the candy statton gave it the funky chicken to that cant fault the rest of it pretty spot on directors done his homework i just couldnt get star trek outta ma head with irish dude

i suppose it is down to personal preference.. where lockstock and snatch are funny films they just dont do it in the same sense that layer cake does for me...
both lockstock and snatch are very 'hardman' related with general brutalness that makes guy ritchie what he is
However i just prefer layer cake as it has IMO a better plot (if you can call it that ) it doesnt rely totally on violence to make the film great
Fav part of the movie for me is when they are in the cafe and morty beats fuck out of that guy while 'ordinarry world' is on
