I read in another thread that replacement screens (even larger ones) can be bought to resolve these issues. Just trying to source one.

Mine is doing Japanese signs or nothing from time to time

Had a chat with a good mate and he told me if he could get the C code file and H file and what compiler is used he might be able to work on these

I done mine got screen from RS electronics and it can come in either green or blue

easy fix if your handy with a soldering iron

Anyone know this guy? Looking at an old thread, he had same issues and sourced a new LCD screen and swapped them over, resolving all the problems.

well i was looking at getting the SECS for the escort, but the IECS looks like a lot better bit of kit. with warnings and buzzer "just" incase

IECS Does seem a great bit of kit it's just the size that puts me off

SECS is a perfect size! But you can't buy them new!

The SECS isn't ideal really, doesn't give really accurate readings, but gives you something which is better than nothing. The Pectel is the dogs

I will get looking for a decent SECS

Now i know the screen can be changed, As that seems the only problem everyone seems to have problems with! Cheap too! Keep us updated on how the fitting the new screen goes please.

I thought the secs and iecs were the same size just in different housings and faceplates??
