from what ive seen to match my 0 - 100 7.2 seconds and 30 - 130 in 9.76 seconds I would only need about 600 hp in an r35, and they are supposedly bullit proof at that power.

theres one on sale now for Ł36000, 585hp, 23000 miles 09 plate.

I need Ł62000 to buy the 950hp beast but its abit out of comfortable reach really.

Ive no idea how reliable the 35's really are...

But I wouldnt go nuts aiming for one with too high spec...just in case the grass isnt quite as green there as you think.

They are awesome cars, but I've little doubt they too require a fair level of maintenance, especially if pushing high power levels. Dont get too greedy

Personally i think one with 600odd hp is going to be more than enough, there rapid as standard, think the gearbox helps the speed of them as they just seem to fly through the gears. Its nearly half the price of the other one aswell. Also with one that high spec your gunna end up with the same troubles you've got now with shit going wrong all the time. Will look forward to some more of your vids when tou get the r35

There fairly easy and cheap to get 600 aren't they?

they were built as 500 hp cars from standard so 600 hp should be a breeze

im gonna try and heed that advice mate, the r33 is now almost triple the hp it left the factory with lol

from what ive read about 600 hp in an r35 should be on par with my r33

and stage 1 must be deep in the 500s so I could start there I guess, my racelogic will tell me the full story

if I get a stock or near stock car its gotta be a low miles car.

im gona read into it abit and take my time while selling the r32 and r33 cars in parts.
ive got Ł30k anyway so don't need much more in to buy an r35 if/when I find/decide what im after.

I'd say an R35 with just a few basic upgrades would be more than enough for a reliable daily flying machine.

There is a local car at that sort of level that races in the sprints and hillcimbs. And it beats a lot of the race cars !! It really does fly.
And he just drives it to/from the events and races the 4wd road car class.

something like this low miles and with just basic stage 1 upgrades

http://www.pistonheads.com/classifie...tage-1/2208194

and a lot easier to launch at pod

Shame mate, I much prefer the 32's/33's to a 35 but totally understandable in your position, must get tiring after a while.

the deciphering factor is an r32/r33/r34 was built as a 280hp car, the r35 is built as a 500 hp car as standard, stage 1 mods yield approx 580 with performance figures similar to my r33 which is very highly strung.

I am tired of having to fix cars everytime I use them, they always get used hard, I didn't even make pod at all last year due to the car being broken I am truly sick to death of it tbh

if I can get a 20k miles r35 at about 600 hp it should be a high 10 low 11 second car and be reliable, well more reliable that anything else ive ever had lol

I've been out in a friend's 585bhp R35 and it was genuinely a very, very fast car.

It's a wise choice for you I'd say, they really are so good I was instantly sold on them. You will love it.

i'd love an R34 Nismo edition but cost wise looks like the R35 is an absolute bargain considering its a lot newer and the standard power it has.
WHEN you buy it I have to have a ride

but on the plus side ive already made Ł6k in 2 days and I still have the car with complete engine except turbo, clutch and gearbox, brakes, wheels etc.

hardly sold anything tbh just dash, lights, skirts and diffuser, bumper and a couple of alloy bits intercooler and turbo kit

between the r33 and r32 im hopeful I can make about Ł30k so nearly enough to buy an r35, if I decide I don't want to add any money I will just sell the classic 240k skyline so exchange 3 old nissans for an 09 gtr

im gonna be wanting stage 2 though at 590 hp at least, and its started already and I havnt even got it yet lol

I think it's a good decision, no more messing around with little fiddly bits, just the good side to enjoy.

Good choice mate, don't like them in silver though but that's a personal opinion I guess. I have one down the road from me in silver and it doesn't have the presence of others on the road. Black on them looks amazing.

Good luck.

it seems the next logical step

the 3.8 and the bags of torque from the motor are a big factor, that and the fact that at stage 1 it should be super reliableand a low 11, high 10 second car !

im getting one its all decided

ive even pulled this out today for selling/breaking to make space and funds for the r35

if I just go out and buy an r35 with my money I will just end up keeping all the cars I have, whereas if I keep the attitude that my 3 current skylines need to sell and pay for the r35 I will get the stuff sold and keep my finger on the pulse and get it done if you know what I mean.

the Chrysler, the capri and the kit car are 100% not going anywhere, just looking to morph all my skylines into an r35
