My car & DVLA records
Hopefully not a serious problem, but having just bought a car, whenever I enter the reg online, insurance sites, Dvla tax enquiry etc, it comes back as no record of the car. Any reason to be worried? The car has been 'in trade' for a few months, but wouldn't have thought it would drop off the radar because of it.
And how long does askMID take to update? I got the car on Wednesday and its still showing as uninsured, despite changing the policy over on Weds. Its the only site that seems to recognise the reg.

What car is it as my daily is a grey import and doesn't work on any sites at all, but it is on the insurance database. I presume if you only just bought it will take a while to appear On there.

Insurance companies are supposed to update the MID as soon as possible. Of course some are useless fucks and dont bother their arse. And they dont get any penalties for not doing so.
Contact your insurance and complain that you've been getting stopped because your car is not showing up on the MID and getting hassled by the police.
