Exciting new Ford.....1.0L, 205bhp...
Just spotted this on PH.
Basically a 205bhp of the 1.0L Ecoboost, put into a Formula Ford racer, made road legal with lights/mud guards etc. and it goes round the Nordscheilfe quicker than a Lambo Aventador or a McLaren MP4-12C

Before the engine was officially/globally launched, they did claim about have made a 177PS version during development!!
And if you read the PH forum there is questions about "vs areil atoms, will we see this in a caterham etc"
100% genuine here - 2 weeks ago i called into the main FORD dealers in Belfast to get prices for my Dad for the new B-Max Titanium 1.0L....and upon a long winded chat with the sales man about the engine (who preferred the 1.0L vs his 1.6 ecoboost NEW Focus)....he quietly pulled me to the side to tell me that Ford in Europe are in "preliminery" talks with Caterham about the use of the 1.0L ecoboost in their kitcars!!
Forf should just make that road legal Formula car and go head on vs Caterham, Areil etc etc!

Having worked for 4 major automative manufacturers, including FoMoCo, I can promse you that a salesman in a franchisee's showroom would be about the last to hear of preliminary talks about supply contracts.
He probably read about it in Auto Express or similar, or maybe just made it up, or repeated something someone speculated on and has now become fact.

It might turn out that Ford do supply the engines in the future, but I'm betting that the salesman hasn't heard it through any official source.

Im not saying the salesman's word is gospel....but before this article was released, i was told of this possible engine supply. Now this article is released, its a few questions on peoples tongues!
Basically i find it co-incidental!! Thats all
