Default anyone done jap lump in a ford??

i no its been done before but wondering if anyones done or doin a conversion at min.
my bro has a 200sx which is boarderline 300bhp n its fast n puts up with abuse n never misses a beat! (2.0 turbo).... if u want u can buy the whole conversion on the floor with all running gear plus loom n ecu etc for around £1000! YB on the otherhand would be more than double that for complete ready to bolt in conversion. replacement engine for my bros is bout £400 but ud prob only get a YB head for that kinda money

basically a bit of head scratching n welding u could mount jap power in a mk1/2 etc then if u brake anythin it wont be overly expensive to fix... massive market for performance mods to!
id like to see some if anyones doin such a project!!

Do a google search on 200sx forums or maybe driftworks? Try your luck there?

I know, I'm on most of the forums, and own an s14a. My point was, £400 for a good SR20 is bloody cheap!

And as luke89 said there's a wankle mk1 Scott.
A d I'm desperately trying to bully him into selling his yb set up and and buying a 2jze and 6 speed.

There was an Anglia in Classic Ford with a Toyota 4AGE lump. Ideal engine for an old Ford if you aren't after massive power. Pretty sure Toyota ripped off the design from the BDA (bore/stroke) but improved it in some respects. They even sound like a BDA when on throttle bodies
