Carfest anyone go?
I just got back from Carfest and it was great. I wanted to go but tickets sold out within 12 minutes or something stupid but a friend of a friend was working there and got me a wristband so I went along as part of " production" had a bloody brilliant day, SO much happening all the time it was unreal. There was a 'hillclimb' run with a chicane and bales of hay etc running all day and every car imaginable was giving it large for the crowds . Everything from classic bugattis, 70's f1 cars to bowlers, zondas, and edd chona ran his double bed up there too aerial displays all day with helicopter aerobatics, red arrows fly by, tornados, spitfires, Lancaster too. Excellent day out pics and videos to follow tomorrow

Was a great day, genuinely the best car show I've been to. Very family orientated with loads to occupy kids and the millions upon millions pounds worth of cars being run ( even if it was only some light playing up for the crowds) and used rather than a please do not touch sign made it really different. Pics and vids tomorrow, too late to start now sorry I can't be bothered.

i went for the weekend and was a good car show although hill climb was a little disapointing as more of a parade than race but all in all a well put together event, got about 80 pictures but can't be arsed at the moment.

Totally agree it was more about showing off for the crowds but totally different to other shows I've been to. You were 2 metres away from the f1 pit where they were prepping and running a 2006 marussia car. You can hear conversations and see computer screens . Just different. And yes it was the children in need based day organised by Chris Evans. He was around all day too, had his missus and kids in chitty chitty bang bang at the start of the day parading the hillclimb and I saw him on a golf buggy later on near the auction stage signing autographs. Really chuffed I got to go tbh.
