Borg warner 65..one for the gearbox nuts!
Looking for some info on these box's for my cousin...
currently he's running a standard rover 3.5 v8 mated to an automatic borg warner 65 gearbox thats previously been reconditioned in his 100e, he's now purchased a tuned 4.2 injected rover v8 thats running a claimed approx 250ish bhp and he wants to know if his gearbox will be able to handle the extra power of the new engine compared to the 150ish bhp of the current engine?
is it possible to uprate the borg warner box? Will the torque converter need to be uprated too?
any info would be great!
