Default Accident going on to petrol station forecourt tesco with pic

Today i needed to fill up with fuel i went to mams and filled up at her tesco petrol station,as i pulled into the forcourt they have a drain that catches petrol if there is a leak ,it is right across the entrance as i drive in at normal speed my car makes a almighty bang ,the car grounded out on the ditch braking my front bumper and also i dont know how bent the lip on my front wing which dug in my tyre and gouged big lumps of tread off my tyre as you can imagine im annoyed they filled out a form for a customer vehicle damage report i could tell the manager wasnt bothered just looked like a old car to her (woman manager) the car is lowerd but the drain is a good drop compared to the other side, she says this has never happened before ,was i going to fast ,makes my blood boil ,what do you think the outcome will bee.

no speed limit and no sighn about any chance of grounding your car,you could probaly get the lip back in place but the paints cracked still got the orginal wings on it tho

Surprised if you get anything mate. Driving a lowered car you need to look out for this stuff!!

It took me years to get out of the habit of looking for potholes/drains/lumps after getting rid of my lowered van. Still sometimes avoid things now some 15 plus years later lol.

They have a duty of care and you will need pics and dimensions. Don't bank on getting anywhere.

Boils my piss that after any incident some clot always pipes up with the "going too fast" line.

theyve got to ask really, no one wants to pay out if they can avoid it but it would be a real idiot that replied "yes mate, perhaps i was"

Although yes they have a duty of care, however I think if their insurance company were to come and look at the damage and see that the car has lowered suspension and the tyres are fouling the arches then they will just walk away from it!

i wouldnt bother .. they will say your car is too low.. after all if there is something wrong with the forcourt then every car will get damaged going in mate... but its only yours because its low pal. for example if it was a standard car at its usual height it wouldnt have had this problem. they are just going to blame your car being too low. however if you do get to have any money off them then good on you mate every little helps off the kunts

If it passed an MOT then I can't see it being a problem putting in a legitimate claim. If its been passed as fit for purpose on the road then I would've thought it would be worth it mate.

Not nice to see though
